Hoosier Expands Short Course Off Road Tire Line with Turbo and RZR 170 Offerings

Lakeville, IN – Building on a successful 2019 campaign on both the Lucas Oil Off Road and Midwest Short Course Series’, Hoosier Racing Tire is pleased to announce two more additions to their growing line of Off Road Products for the 2020 Season. The new Hoosier 27.5/8.0-15 Turbo and 21.0x6.0-10 RZR 170 tires are finishing up development and will be in production soon.

The new 27.5/8.0-15 Turbo tire will feature a more aggressive sidewall design specifically for the higher-horsepower and faster corner speeds of the Turbo class vehicles. A four-ply sidewall and increased tread depth, similar to the design of the current Championship-winning Production 1000 tires, will be utilized. The ultra-aggressive S500 compound and battle-tested M500 compound will both be available for the 2020 season.

The foundation of any successful motorsport organization is the youth class. Hoosier has always looked to support the next generation of racers by providing them with the best possible products for their pursuit of the checkered flag. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the development of the new 21.0x6.0-10 RZR 170 tire. The first purpose-built tire for this growing class, the RZR 170 tire features a durable compound, low rolling resistance, stiff sidewall, and customizable Rib-only tread pattern.

“2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Hoosier Off Road Program,” relayed Hoosier Tire Product Manager Shanon Rush. “These new products are a clear reflection of the hard work our staff, engineers, and evaluation teams put in this past season. We are beyond excited to introduce these two new products and to let everyone know, we aren’t done yet!”

Hoosier is already in the preliminary stages of development for more products to expand their Off Road presence in 2020 and beyond. Stay tuned for more information on these products and to keep up with the latest releases of our “Tires Designed For Champions”.
